1. ACTIVATIONS TO FOLLOW: GOOGLE increases parental-leave policy and adds more vacation time ?

In today’s hybrid and remote work environment employee well-being is often neglected and tends to decline.

How does Google revisit their employee well-being benefits to prevent burnout and retain talent?

It is designed to support Googlers at every stage of their lives and encourage them to take more time for themselves by:

?expanding parental leave to 18 weeks for all parents (previously 12 weeks) and 24 weeks for parents who give birth (previously 18 weeks);

?letting employees take up to 8 weeks of caregiver leave, doubling its previous allowance;

? increasing employees’ paid vacation time to a minimum of 20 days a year, up from 15.

Check out these extraordinary benefits. Why not to roll them out and boost employee well-being at your company?

2. A SOLUTION TO IMPROVE YOUR STRATEGY: Improve your employee retention strategy with stay conversations. ?

The Gartner Survey 2021 reveals that 91% of HR Leaders are concerned about employee turnover in the immediate future. On average, each departing employee costs an organization around $18,591.

Gartner suggests to use semi-structured stay conversations to drive these costs down and increase employee engagement and intent to stay. What is their value to an organization?

?help to identify retention issues before an employee decides to leave;

?make employees feel valued and improve employee experience;

?allow HR professionals to receive actionable takeaways from managers and plan subsequent

employee experience initiatives; ?reduce budgets spent on employee turnover.

? Dive deeper into the research and explore how to conduct stay conversations effectively and achieve their ultimate purpose.

3.WORKPLACE CULTURE TO DEVELOP: What makes people fall in love with their employer? ❤

According to Karian and Box, UK nearly 8 in 10 people globally say they are proud to work for their company.

What key factors made employees feel proud to work for their employers in 2021? As the chart shows:

?53% of employees listed company culture and team behaviours as the top reason why they took pride in working for their company;

? Flexible work arrangements, DEI and support for colleagues rose in significance, making it to the top of the list.

As far as we can judge, mostly internal factors rather than external focus come into play when building pride in the workplace and fostering supportive culture.

1. A huge generational shift will happen as more Gen Z enters the workplace in 2022 and organizational culture will have to address its needs.

2. HR Analytics will charge designing and implementing of HR policies.

3. The shift to hybrid work will be a massive driver of transformation.

5. A MEME TO THINK ABOUT: If you don’t respect your employees, they will leave. ?

Are employees leaving your company just like these aircraft cabin crew members are leaving the flight deck? ? Then it is high time to treat your employees with respect and show appreciation for their work!

WHY TO DO THIS?

? it will motivate employees to work harder which will contribute to higher productivity and profitability levels;

? It will inspire loyalty in employees and result in low turnover;

? it will stipulate a desire in employees to also treat each other, customers and suppliers with respect.
