@IKEA Canada has just launched the ‘Build your career with IKEA’ recruitment campaign to build awareness and aid in recruitment efforts for the retailer as it is expanding into the new markets. IKEA makes ‘purpose’ the core of its campaign and highlights the diversity of opportunities they facilitate.

What is interesting about the campaign?

? It was driven by the data from a recent survey, run by the retailer, which showed that 85% of Canadians feel it is important to work for purpose-driven employers that live their values.
?It features IKEA employees who – through the inspiring and emotive storytelling – create connection with the target audience and expand on how the corporate purpose is fully activated & brought to life every day.
?Showing iconic IKEA items mixed with the IKEA co-workers’ personal items, it offers a glimpse into the wide variety of career paths available and how the company creates growth opportunities for all.

2. ACTIVATIONS TO FOLLOW: Wholegrain Digital introduces an employee activism policy.?

@Wholegrain Digital has launched its latest initiative – an Employee Activism Policy, which is the first of its kind in the UK. They believe the essence of activism is being active rather than passive in trying to create positive change in the world.

What support is provided to employees under the policy?

?Paid leave for NVDA. Time off during working days to participate in peaceful protests and NVDA do not count against employees’ annual holiday allowance.
?Security of employment.
?Bail. The company provides up to £5000 towards bail in case of issues.
?Training. To ensure employee safety and awareness of the possible consequences of being involved in NVDA, the employer covers pre-agreed costs of appropriate trainings.
