3. EMPLOYEE ENGAGEMENT TRENDS TO NAVIGATE IN 2023. ?
What are some of the major trends & themes in employee engagement 2023?
McLean & Company issued an Employee Engagement Trends 2023 report which offers a comprehensive view of the current state of engagement and what organizations can do to improve it.
A few takeaways are:
• Companies continue to adjust to hybrid & remote environments and retention challenges. Companies should form connections with co-workers through buddy programs, involvement in new employees’ onboarding and provide opportunities for employees to connect both virtually & in-person.
• The #1 reason employees leave an organization is opportunities for career advancement. Companies should explore programs like job shadowing or career pathing to offer employees a chance to build & develop skills and advance their careers internally.
• Workload is the #1 contributing factor to burnout, followed closely by blurred work-life boundaries. Companies should revisit wellbeing offerings and plan to extinguish organizational burnout.
