3. TRENDS TO FOLLOW: A 4-day work week. ?

The 4-day workweek has been gaining momentum in the recent years. Some forward-thinking companies have already adopted shorter working weeks to keep their employees happier & more productive.
The world’s most extensive 4-day workweek trial research has released its findings from the first 2 trials, which comprised 33 companies and 903 employees in the US, Ireland & a few other countries. Some include:

1. Company metrics showed high levels of success. Revenue rose approximately 8% over the trial and was up 37.55% in comparison to the same period in 2021. Hiring rose, absenteeism reduced and resignations declined.
2. Employees recorded an almost 2 point increase in satisfaction with time, from 5.39 before the trial to 7.38 after.
3. Anxiety & negative affect fell substantially and positive affect increased from 3.15 to 3.64.

Though several prominent companies, such as @Microsoft, Japan and @Unilever, New Zealand have conducted trials for the 4-day workweek with positive results, many large companies have been slow to embrace this trend, partially because of their complex, inflexible structures.
