1. A BRAND TO FOLLOW: Build an inclusive future with Capgemini.?

@Capgemini cultivates an inclusive workplace culture with vibrant employee networks. These internal networks create a safe space for employees with similar backgrounds & experiences and are focused on race equality, women, LGBTQI+, capability (disability and carers), veterans and mental health.
Capgemini’s Active Inclusion campaign has won the Work of the Year award at the 2023 RAD Awards, having @Pink Squid as their partners.

What makes the campaign spectacular?

?The campaign features the employee network members sharing personal stories about the inner workings of each network and the challenges faced by the under-represented groups.
?The employees outside the networks were invited to read out these stories and share their reaction. Based on these discussions the company aimed to shift the mindset from acceptance to active inclusion.
? The ‘Stories’ exercise has been one of the top 10 most viewed on Capgemini’s UK website, with a 280% increase in active dwell time. The company’s networks have seen membership growth, especially the mental health network which gained 32% more members as a result.

Discover more about the Capgemini inclusive environment & enjoy the campaign on the company website.

3. PRACTICES TO REBOUND EMPLOYEE ENGAGEMENT. ?

Gallup’s employee engagement is at a ten year low, dropping from 36% engaged in 2020 to 34% in 2021 to 32% in 2022.
How can companies rebound in 2023?

Gallup shares a set of practices to follow & improve employee engagement. These include:

1. Focusing on clarifying expectations. A lack of role clarity makes all other engagement elements less impactful – employees cannot perform at a high level when they are confused as to what they are supposed to do.
2. Conducting a culture audit. It is a highly qualitative, thorough review of your current & desired culture.
3. Embracing hybrid work for remote-ready employees. Otherwise, there may be an uphill battle in attracting and retaining star employees.
4. Establishing on-site days. Employees should know which days people are in the office together for the highest collaboration.
5. Holding one meaningful conversation per week with each employee. This prevents employees from feeling disconnected from your company.
