As an employer, @Barclays builds an open culture that is disability & mental health confident. This is Me changes the perceptions of disability, mental health & neurodiversity in the workplace and creates an environment where colleagues can comfortably speak out about their personal experiences.

In 2023, @Barclays launched a DEI employer brand campaign, following 18 Barclays colleagues from all over the world.

What can be highlighted about this initiative?

The number of colleagues sharing about their disability, or a neurodiverse or mental health condition experiences, has increased from 3% to 11% – from 9 colleagues back in 2013 to over 250 now.

Barclays partners with other businesses like PwC & United Utilities to scale up the initiative outside the UK.

As a result of This is Me, Barclays has launched mental health peer support groups in the US & every major Barclays centre in the UK.
