@UBS set an ambitious goal to achieve a 50/50 gender split in student hires for the Junior Talent programs worldwide.

Their innovative and attention-grabbing Junior Talent Campaign for APAC demonstrated a strong ROI from video production & social media spend.

What is interesting about the campaign?

The campaign was a 5-day filming project executed in the UBS Singapore office – 4 reels, 3 long videos, an interview-style video & photoshoots.

The mix of video formats unveiled different stages of the candidate journey.

A targeted paid social media campaign drove applications & achieved its goal: women made up nearly 50% of all applicants.

2. ACTIVATIONS TO FOLLOW: Cisco’s Global HR Breakathon brought innovative HR solutions.

Back in 2016, @Cisco brought employees together across 16 time zones in 116 cities and 39 countries for an HR Breakathon. Using design thinking, they looked at the areas where HR could intervene in tangible, practical ways – onboarding, learning & development, and workplace design.

What can be highlighted about this initiative?

The nontech breakathon involved more than 800 employees—65 % of them were HR professionals. Over a period of 24 hours, the Cisco employees joined virtually using a mix of Cisco collaboration technologies.

The participants come up with 105 ideas, covering talent acquisition, onboarding, learning & development, team development, and leadership. One resulted in developing a mobile app for new employees & their managers called You Belong@Cisco.
