The telecom giant @NTT, Japan begins remote work as its new norm for over 30,000 of employees in July 2022. Like many other companies, it has introduced diversified working styles.

As per the Intuition statistics, 83% of employees report they are more productive working from home.

3. AN APPROACH TO FOLLOW: Managing generational differences. ?

 

Different generations have different ways of working and communicating. A study by Deloitte showed that 52 % of respondents consider generational differences when designing and delivering workforce programs.

HRD shares the approach of @AWS where they nurture an inclusive workplace and ensure that multi-generational workforces thrive. The key aspects of the approach include:

1. Establishing an infrastructure that supports a culture of inclusion. Employees should openly share their thoughts, ideas and bring their authentic selves to work.
2. Engaging leadership. Leadership should be on pulse with how to set up a conducive working environment.
3. Having platforms to bring employees together across business units & locations through shared interests & causes. These can be affinity groups which build internal networks for creating a community, leading in-service projects, etc.
