3. AN APPROACH TO ADOPT: Making hybrid work. ?

Companies are trying to make hybrid work.

The research shows that flexibility & wellbeing are no longer negotiable and 53% of employees are likely to prioritize health and wellbeing over work than before the pandemic.

How to design hybrid workplaces with enough flexibility to support every employee?

@Microsoft CEO Satya Nadella shares 5 insights on hybrid work. They embrace:

1. Hybrid collaboration requires first-class experiences across time & space. Employees need meaningful collaboration but also the ability to catch up on their own time.

2. It requires being mindful of the “triple peak day”. Wellbeing has been one of the most important aspects of productivity.

3. Physical space is still “the ultimate collaboration” tool. It is vital to build flexibility into every space to bridge the gap between physical and digital.

4. Managers hold the key to hybrid onboarding. Leadership, management and technological excellence are equally important for onboarding success.

5. Leaders set the tone and the expectations. It’s equally important to communicate when an immediate response is not expected.

4. A STRATEGY TO FOLLOW: Celebrate what you are.?

The Great Reshuffle has changed it all. Candidates and employees are rethinking their priorities & relationships with employers. And companies feel an imperative to renew their EVPs.

But is it really necessary to revisit your EVP to stay competitive in the shifted talent landscape?

Sophie Haynes, Senior Global Employer Brand Manager, @Unilever shares a strategy for an employer brand to win in the current landscape. The aspects of it include:

1. Don’t rush to refresh your EVP. No point in refreshing your company’s EVP if you don’t really need to, especially when we see flux in the talent landscape.

2. Treat your employer brand like part of your business. Understand who you need, when and how an experience in your company could align with talent needs.

3. Note the rising demand for hybrid working. Think of new employment models, design work patterns that will fit employees, allowing them to live a freelance lifestyle, take sabbaticals, care for family, explore new passions, etc.

4. Let employees tell their stories. Share employee stories from every corner of your business. Employee advocacy helps not only to attract talent but also to build employees’ personal brand.

5. Keep listening to talent, stay true to your EVP. The best results come from ensuring that a company’s voice is aligned with your strategy, data, goals, key leaders across the business and target audience.

Explore the aspects of the strategy here. Why not to apply it to your company and shape the articulation of your employer brand in a targeted way?
