1. A BRAND TO FOLLOW: Salesforce goes meeting-free. ?

For the 3rd time, @Salesforce was holding its “async week” on 20-24 June, encouraging employees to cancel all meetings for an entire week. The company is trying to find better work ways and is offering employees more control over their workday.

What was beneficial about going meeting-free?

?the employees appreciated wellbeing & having more control over the workday (having time to make lunch, take long-delayed training, etc.);

?the employees became more efficient in organizational matters (sharing documents, providing updates ahead of scheduled meetings to save time and to give managers a chance to digest the updates and have responses ready);

? the employees used digital tools to increase collaboration & productivity and enjoy more control over how they work.

3.AN APPROACH TO ADOPT: The C-suite to improve well-being. ?‍♀️

Employees no longer wish to tolerate jobs that leave them unhappy and cause constant stress and fatigue.

The Deloitte & Workplace Intelligence research shows top two hurdles which people cited – a heavy workload or a stressful job (30%) and not having enough time because of long work hours (27%).

How can the C-suite improve employee well-being?

Deloitte shares 3 steps for the C-suite to take to reimagine well-being at work. They are:

1. Translating the concept of health-savvy leadership into actions. Employees expect their companies to challenge societal norms, support their holistic health, embed well-being into the workplace culture and be more future-oriented.

2. Conducting an executive training program focused on health matters. An executive training program on health and support from health experts in their company will help.

3. Boosting transparency with employees. People at all levels should feel they can be open about their well-being, as it relates to their work. And the C-suite should set the example.

4. A TOOL TO ENJOY: A social media policy template. ?

Are you looking for a ready document which helps your employees leverage social media, enhance their personal brand and push your business forward?

Social media policies should outline a behavioural code of conduct which employees should follow when sharing anything online, be it in line with their job or non-work-related things.

The policies should also educate employees on the benefits of using social media for professional use.

DSMN8 shares a nice social media policy template.
