1. A BRAND TO FOLLOW: AND-E increases its brand recognition. ?

@Aioi Nissay Dowa Europe (@AND-E) wanted to increase its 800- person headcount but its biggest challenge was the lack of brand recognition in the UK.

In partnership with BrandPointZero, AND-E developed a brand framework along with the company purpose, vision & mission and presented them at an all-employee roadshow in March 2022. Over 50 employees were featured in the project, titled ‘The Best Insurance Company You’ve Never Heard Of’.

 What is interesting about the project?

? The employer brand research included 12 leadership interviews and 5 employee focus groups.

? In addition, the people & culture strategy was developed, the rewards package was reviewed.

?The internal hires increased from 24% to 30% and there was a significant reduction in the recruitment costs.

?No changes to the attrition rate took place, which was positive in a tight labour market, and the agency hires went down from 28% to 10%.

3. EMPLOYER BRANDING TRENDS TO CONSIDER IN 2023. ?

According to a @Gallup survey, 58% of employees say their companies have asked them to take on additional responsibilities.

Employers look to their current workforce to fill the gaps of essential job openings that remain unfilled.

Employees also pointed out that they:

  • 5x as likely to feel burned out at work very often or always
  • 55% more likely to watch for or actively seek a new job
  • 39% less likely to be engaged at work
  • half as likely to think their employer cares about their wellbeing

Employers are in danger of overloading their employees, leading to increased sick days, disgruntled employees & departures, making their workforce problems even worse than before.
