2. ACTIVATIONS TO FOLLOW: Delta Air Lines connect DE&I to the daily experience of employees.
DE&I sits at the heart of the @Delta Air Lines’ business model. They ran a training program to connect DE&I to the daily experience of employees and empower them to interact in more engaging ways with each other & customers.
What is interesting about the training program?
It was delivered to the tens of thousands of employees across different locations and in various types of roles.
A 4-part training experience embraced 2 live virtual sessions & 2 e-learning modules. It introduced new concepts & ways of talking about issues such as unconscious bias. A key focus was positioning DE&I as a competency.
In a few months, the training saw an 85% uptake.
Employees have the confidence to speak up & use their voice. Delta customers are seeing the impact too—colleagues are earning praise & gratitude for applying their DE&I training to real-life situations.
